Dani Alves will stay at Barcelona, says technical commission member

“Dani Alves will stay at Barcelona beyond the expiration of his contract at the end of the season, according to a member of the club’s technical commission.

The Brazil international has an expiring contract at Camp Nou and talks over a new deal have so far been unsuccessful.

Dani Alves’s agent, Dinorah Santana, revealed in April that Barcelona’s latest renewal offer was unsatisfactory and that negotiations had broken down, with the 31-year-old expected to be heading out in the summer.

However, Charles Rexach, told Esports Cope that he remains hopeful that an agreement will eventually be reached.

“I am one of those people who still sees him here next season. I’m convinced Dani Alves will remain at Barcelona,” Rexach said.

The right-back joined Barcelona from Sevilla in the summer of 2008 and has since made over 300 appearances in all competitions for the Catalans.

He was part of the illustrious team that won La Liga, Copa del Rey, Champions League, Supercopa de Espana, European Supercup and Club World Cup in 2009.”

Dani Alves started his professional career in 2003 with Seville, 12 years later he is still playing and continues to be a force for Barcelona. He has been with Barcelona since 2008 and rumors were flying that he was going to leave the team after this year when his contract was up. He has 25 total goals between Seville and Barcelona and any team would like to have the 31 year old on their side.

  1. Hola Brandon:
Again, what’s the significance of this news to you? Why did you choose it? Finally, why do you keep writing about this pathetic soccer team? Ha, ha.
Dani Alves is unfortunately well-known in the Spanish soccer due to his excessive theatricality and the sly ways he has to act out non-existing faults of the opposing team. He is a very dirty player.
