Food in Spain

Holla fellow classmates!

For my blog today, I choose to write about what the food is like in Spain.  There is one phrase that you will often hear in Spain pronounced in English in a strong Latin accent which is: “Spain is different. The longer you live here the more random ways you will discover that this sentence is indeed very true, but perhaps the most immediate curiosity for most tourists are Spanish eating customs and cuisine.  Spain’s most common food is the tortilla de patata, or potato omelet, according to Fodor’s. Other gastronomical delicacies include seafood paella, chorizo sausage, gazpacho soup and tapas. Lunch is the biggest meal of the day, typically consisting of a soup or salad course followed by a main entree and a small dessert. The tradition of siesta plays into lunchtime, as many Spaniards tend to gather with their extended families for this leisurely meal, especially on Sundays. Locals also love to snack on tapas in the evening while enjoying glasses of wine or sherry

  1. Hola Emily,
Again, make sure that you expand your research. The topic of food in Spain is huge and there is so much diversity in terms of food from one region to another that your blog was strikingly very short. Additionally, you did not include sources or references to how you found that information.
